‘The Peoplescape’ – The Centenary of Federation, Australia nation celebrations 2001

Angelis’s second nomination; depicted in life size cut out ‘Marisa Angelis Peoplescape Figure’ and recognised for; Artist, Designer, Writer, Poet, Philanthropist and Humanitarian

‘The Peoplescape’, largest art exhibition ever to take place in Australia and made up of ‘People Figures’ for and about ‘Extraordinary’ Australian people.

Marisa Angelis’s Peoplescape Figure / Nomination is featured in the book;

‘The Peoplescape – Celebrating Australians’ by Michael Mckernan HGB Hardie Grant Books 2002 in conjunction with the National Council for the Centenary of Federation. (Cover of book is featured top of second image)

The figure is on the cover, page 2 and appears on page 207 (above another person’s name).

‘The Peoplescape Figures’ exhibited on and around the lawns of Parliament House Canberra, Australia

Surviving ‘Peoplescape Figures’, placed/ exhibited in ‘The National Museum’ Canberra – Australia

“Australia Celebrated Nation Wide, with concerts, fireworks displays, schools with programs and venues with events. The ABC (television, Australian Broadcasting Corporation) featured a concert live from the nations capital Canberra and amongst the heart of The Peoplescape exhibition of Figures. People of All Walks of Lives and Backgrounds were honoured.”
